This is going to be short post on DIY home repair for bamboo roman shades. I have seen a lot of questions being asked on how to repair broken shades so I thought it would be good to start a series on this. For the first article in this series, I am going to talk about how to repair broken lift caps.

How to repair broken lift caps of bamboo blinds
For replacing the lift-cord of the bamboo shades, what you need to do it to first lift both ends of the lift cord up into the head box, over thepulleys, down and out. Most people will not know how to put it back soplease sketch down a diagram for your own reference before removing thelift cords. Once the damaged lift cords are removed, you can put thetwo ends of the new lift cord back into the head box and over the firstpulley. After which, you will need to pull one lift cord over thesecond pulley and the other one over the head box to the far pulley. Once in placed, you can slowly thread the life cords down through theslats to the bottom rail and secure them with the end caps.
