There are now more manufacturers offering cordless blinds due to the recent uproar over the death incidents caused by the strings of bamboo blinds that suffocated the young children. In my last post on cordless bamboo roman shades, I covered mainly information on roman shades. However, there are now many more other types of cordless blinds and shades and you can consider and I shall briefly talk about each type in the post below.

Cordless cellular blinds
Cellular blinds are a window blinds that are shaped like honeycomb. Due to this unique shape, they are desired by homeowners looking for more contemporary designs in their furnishings. White cellular blinds seem to be one of the most popular color among the buyers. This is not surprising given that white can blend in nicely with a modern theme.

Cordless wood blinds
This group of blinds includes your traditional types of wooden blinds. Even these have received the revamp and have been released as cordless versions. While the main color used here is brown, there some hunter douglas blinds that have more special colors such as black or green.

Cordless mini blinds
Mini blinds are getting more popular. Due to our smaller living spaces, the windows are getting smaller as well and this is leading to a increasing demand for mini or micro blinds. Mini blinds are much smaller than your usual blind size and because of this smaller square, some people especially ladies feel that these are cuter than your usual blinds

Cordless pleated blinds
Pleated blinds have a nice wave like look to them. They appeal to homeowners who want something unique and different and yet not too 'out there' like the cellular blinds. They straddle comfortably in the middle. Cordless pleated blinds are not as common as the other types of blinds and you might need to buy them online they are not available in your local retailer.
